I grew up around cars. My dad was a Mechanical engineer, gearhead, and when I was 8, he sold his 69 Shelby GT350 to get a more family friendly Ford LTD for the family. He taught me not just about cars, but also about working hard and having priorities. I had interest in all things automotive for as long as I could remember, and learned my way around cars more seriously in my late teens. If I didnt know how to fix something, I learned. I continued this hands on learning, with help from the internet, for more than 30 years.

While I didnt always have the nicest cars, or the coolest gadgets, I did learned early on that if I could learn to fix things myself, rather than pay someone else, that money saved could be used for other needs. I learned more than I could have imagined.
